Corewell Health is the new name for Beaumont.

Pelvic Abdominal Rehabilitation Cancer (PARC) Program

The PARC program is a specialized physical therapy program addressing the quality of life issues affecting bowel, bladder, sexual, pelvic and abdominal health that one may experience while undergoing cancer treatments such as surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy. The program is designed to decrease symptoms and improve quality of life specific to each individual.

CONFIDENCE

Beaumont’s highly trained pelvic floor rehabilitation therapists are experienced and licensed by the state of Michigan. They are active in national and international research programs and medical associations. Beaumont therapists use the latest research and evidence-based interventions to compassionately address each patient’s individual concerns and symptoms.

HOPE

While it can be overwhelming to be diagnosed with cancer and undergo treatment such as chemotherapy, radiation therapy and surgery, you do not have to go through it alone. It is not uncommon for cancer survivors to experience some issues such as pain, constipation, bowel and/or bladder leakage and pain with intercourse. Beaumont’s experienced pelvic floor rehabilitation therapists can help you cope with your condition and help improve your quality of life.

The goal of the program is to provide individualized care, educate and train patients to manage, and in some cases, eliminate their pelvic and abdominal pain, bowel, bladder and sexual dysfunctions as it relates to the cancer diagnosis.
